Golden Valley Tree Park

Golden Valley Tree Park is a sixty hectare landscaped park set in the picturesque hills of Balingup. The heritage listed site has a collection of trees that was begun over one hundred years ago, and is now the largest arboretum in WA. The fully restored Golden Valley Homestead (circa 1890) is located at the Park entrance and the Bibbulman Track runs through the Park as it heads south from Balingup. The Park is open daily and is free, but a gold coin donation is appreciated.

Balingup Lavender Farm

A formal lavender garden displaying 35 different varieties set against a backdrop of sweeping valley views, stunning ‘gallery’ promoting local artists and currently displaying oil paintings by South-West artist ‘Wendy Holmes’, resident in Balingup. Unique hand crafted lavender products, a wide range of cosmetics all produced on the farm using their own unique essential oil.

The Bibbulmun Track

The Bibbulmun Track is one of the world’s great long distance walk trails, stretching nearly 1000kms from Kalamunda, a suburb in the hills on the outskirts of Perth, to the historic town of Albany  on the south coast. It passes through the heart of the scenic South West of Western Australia. Blackwood River Tourist Drive

Winding bush drives, lush orchards, quaint towns, tall jarrah and marri forests and spectacular scenery are just some of the attractions of the Blackwood River Tourist Drive. Following the splendid Blackwood River this trail takes you through some of Western Australia’s most picturesque farm country. Bridgetown and Ballingup are great places to explore interesting shops; frequent the pubs, dine, or stroll on the Oak Grove Trail
